About

Ministries

There is something for everyone in your family to come and get involved in. Don't sit on the sidelines. Come get involved with a church family and feel the love of Jesus!

At Damascus, we treasure corporate worship! It is so incredible to come together as the people of God to worship our Lord and Savior! Our worship team includes our pastor, choir, praise teams, and technical leaders who passionately seek to lead us to experience God’s very presence in our midst!

Childrens Ministry

At Damascus, we want to teach our children about Jesus and lead them into a growing, vibrant relationship with Him. We provide a healthy, fun, exciting atmosphere for them through RA’S, GA’S, Vacation Bible School, Coffee County Baptist Children’s Camp, and more.

Damascus wants to reach men of all ages and backgrounds to help them grow in their faith, build community and reach others for Christ. Monthly meetings, Men’s Conferences, and outreach projects are all part of this ministry.

Nursery

Damascus Baptist loves our preschoolers. We have a paid nursery worker on Sundays for the 10:30 a.m. worship service to provide continuity for the children plus, the volunteers consisting of parents, grandparents, and friends. We also offer a nursery and mission friends on Wednesday night.

At Damascus, we believe that music plays a vital role in all that we do. We are always looking for people to join our fantastic choir and musicians who would enjoy playing their instruments in a church or fellowship setting. We also utilize praise teams to lead music in worship.

Missions

Spreading the good news and the light of Jesus is a part of our calling. Damascus is continually seeking ways to share the good news of Jesus from the front door to the ends of the Earth. We are presently working with the Coffee County Hispanic Ministry and with Churches in Kenya and Haiti, also local mission experiences.

Family Ministry

Damascus strives to minister to our families as a whole. Many of our events are designed for families to enjoy together. Canoe trips, fall festival, trips to Waterworld, corndodgers, and many others are all designed to bring us together as God’s family.

Small Groups

Discipleship is a must for growing Christians. From Sunday School to Small Group Studies, Damascus seeks to connect fellow believers so that we are not just Heavens but doers. We want to reach everyone in our community who may be hurting or searching and share our lives with them.

Womens Ministry

Damascus wants to reach women of all ages and backgrounds to help them grow in their faith, build community and reach others for Christ. Monthly meetings, women’s conferences, and outreach projects are all part of this ministry.

Students in grades 7-12 are a priority at Damascus. We want to reach students for Jesus and lead them in an exciting daily walk with Him. There are many opportunities from Wednesday night bible studies, mission projects, 5th quarters, M-Fuge, and Disciple Now. These events help students grow in their faith.

College & Career

Damascus has a heart for our college and career age men and women. This group is actively involved in missions and meets Sunday mornings at 10 A.M. and Wednesday nights at 6 P.M. we also take a group to Passion Conference each year.
